Taking advantage of declining rents, supermarket chains are planning to open 150 new stores in Bucharest and its surrounding provinces this year.
Mega Image intends to open 80 new stores, while Profi said it would open 45. Meanwhile, Carrefour announced plans to open 20 new stores and Billa said it would add 10 stores to its regional network.
