The largest food hall in Warsaw, Food Town in the Norblina Factory will soon open its operations. From 22 October, all visitors will be greeted by 23 various gastronomic concepts and four original bars created by the multiple winner of prestigious bartending competitions, Tomasz Małek. This place, in addition to a diverse cuisine, will also offer a rich entertainment offer.
Food Town is a uniquely designed gastronomic space in the Norblin Factory, covering five historic factory halls with a total area of 3,200 sqm. It is the largest place of this type in Warsaw. One of the halls is dedicated to cultural events and concerts. The Food Town opening party will start on Friday, October 22nd.
“We cannot wait to present Warsaw foodies this unique and diverse place. We start with an event that will attract fans of not only delicious food, but also cultural experiences. On Friday evening, on the Food Town stage, we will host an event from the Warsaw Generation Beats series. DJ Mariano MBH, Staszka selektah or DJ 600V. On Saturday, we are continuing the concerts led by Hirek Wrona and DJ Procentee. There will be, among others Bartek Królik with his band or Monika Damaszko. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to learn the secrets of the cuisine of all the concepts present in Food Town through an all-day series of culinary workshops,” says Oliwia Hajn, General Event Manager at Food Town.
The space of Norblin’s Food Town will be filled with cafes, breakfast restaurants, a very wide lunch offer including various European, Middle Eastern, Asian, tex-mex and American cuisines as well as non-standard vege / vegan and other concepts. Many of them will appear in Poland for the first time. This includes Yaffo (Middle Eastern cuisine, in particular of the Tel Aviv region), Super Slice (New York style pizza), Crêpes Store (Breton pancakes with seasonal additions), Bukhara (Uzbek street food), Les Frites, Casa Buena, Gnocchi or Yaday Goflafle (dry bubble waffles). In addition, there will be Buena Vista Social Food (Caribbean cuisine and Hawaiian poke bowl), Pho Kwadrat, Umamitu, the first Papuvege in Warsaw, sandwiches from Smoke Philly Cheese Steak, the collaborative concept Soul Food and slodkowasna.pl – Fat Daddy known from Nocny Market. Banh Mi Joint, Sando Rice Express (Japanese onigirazu rice sandwiches), Picknick (a concept offering healthy hot and cold snacks), My Thai, Dim Sum Ramen, Indian Curry Leaves, American Food Truck in the House and Noodle House.
Food Town will also host four different bars, run by cocktail art director Adam Grądziela and bar chef Tomasz Małek, winner of 66 bartending competitions around the world, a 4-time Roadhouse World Final Champion and a 4-time winner of the WFA Grand Slam international flair league. The first is the Old Shaker – its architectural inspiration was the bartending shaker produced in the heyday of the Norblin Factory. Located in an industrial hall, made of wood, steel and copper elements, its offer will focus on bourbons, whiskey, gins, rums and cocktails as well as fresh beer from tanks. In the next, Amaro Mio!, Located in the breakfast area, aperitif, spritz and low-alcohol drinks will be served. In the room dedicated to cultural events, guests will be served by the premium Gimlet bar – focused on elegant cocktails, decorated in a classic retro / glamor style, with the use of wood, brick and steel. The last bar, Pandan will be located in the Asian hall and its atmosphere will resemble places known from such districts as New York’s Chinatown.
“We create a truly amazing place that will delight guests with its diversity and level – says Tomasz Małek – Beverage Director at Food Town. – We have planned four different bars where we will serve cocktails in the Asian style, aperitivo style, classic cocktails, lov ab cocktails, mocktails, vegan and organic. Everything in the spirit of minimal waste,” he adds.
The bars will host a 50-person bartending team, trained by Head of Training, Maciej Szymański.
Food Town in Fabryka Norblina will be open 7 days a week from early morning hours (8:00 am from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am on weekends) to late evening (10:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 11:00 pm on Sunday), and until 1:00 am on Fridays and 2:00 am on Saturdays.
The revitalization of the Norblin factory in Warsaw’s Wola district has been completed. The first concepts have already started their activities – incl. original buti cinema KinoGram and BioBazar – the first organic, certified food market in Poland, Flow Art House art gallery, world alcohol store, Buqiet florist and YES jewelry store. The multimedia Museum of the Norblin Factory, a Piano Bar with live music, as well as Soul Food and Blue Cactus restaurants will be launched in the following time. On the premises of the Norblin Factory, there will also be SuperPharm, a monobrand shop with an original liqueur – Wiśniewski, as well as a shop and a bar with the original craft beer, Note Beer. The following year, Art Box Experience – the first digital art gallery in Poland and the Apple Museum of Poland – will be inviting to its doorstep. The Norblin Factory will also house a new radio studio, newonce.radio, and editorial offices of the media belonging to the newonce.media group. The Medicover Stomatologia chain will also have its dental center here.
In the post-industrial complex with an area of over 65,000 sqm area of 41,000 sqm occupy modern A + class office space, and the remaining 24,000 sqm are filled with entertainment, cultural, gastronomic, service and commercial concepts. The investor and originator of the revitalization of the Norblin Factory is the Capital Park Group. The PRC Architekci studio is responsible for the architectural design.
