International leisure shoe and clothes retailer Foot Locker is planning to open its largest store in Central Europe at the bottom of Wenceslas Square in Prague 1 later this year. The 1,500 sqm flagship store will stretch across five levels in Euro Palace, replacing fashion retailer Promod and the Euro Palace casino. The store’s display area will cover nearly 600 sqm. The lease was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield which is also overseeing the refurbishment of the retail unit. “We consider Prague to be a key location in the Central European region. The local market is stable, and tourism has long been on the rise,” says Martin Macháč, real estate director at Foot Locker Europe. “Our flagship store will offer the broadest range of goods, including collections created exclusively for the Foot Locker brand.”
