Foreign investment volume in Croatia falls to €666.1m

Foreign investments on the Croatian market totaled €666.1m in the first nine months of 2015, down from €1.5bn for the same period in 2014, according to the country’s central bank.

Foreign investments in tobacco products amounted to €518.3m last year. British American Tobacco took over the Rovinj tobacco factory in September 2015 in a deal totaling €505m. Foreign investors also invested €122.6m in real estate between January and September. Most investors came from Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Slovenia.
