Further relocations and new openings at Galeria Katowicka

While creating space for tenants to develop their businesses, for customers the shopping centre creates a place for experiences, not just shopping experiences. Relocations and new openings are a permanent feature of the retail landscape; their dynamics drive sales and footfall, allow us to hit needs and respond to trends. In Galeria Katowicka, the CCC store changed its location at the beginning of October, preparations are also under way for new openings, including a Carrefour supermarket.

“The world around us is becoming more and more technologically advanced, new fashions are being created and lifestyles are changing. Naturally, this is also reflected in the activities of shopping centres. This year is a time of exceptionally intensive changes on the map of Galeria Katowicka, tenants are enlarging and modernising their stores, completely new ones are joining us, and with them an even richer assortment or modern solutions facilitating shopping,” says Joanna Bagińska, director of Galeria Katowicka.

Relocations or store refurbishments allow us to reach customers better, often with an extended offer, greater shopping convenience, in a pleasant, modern space.

The second half of the year brought a number of new openings at Galeria Katowicka resulting from location changes. The Entertainment Zone as well as Lavard, Mydlarnia u Franciszka and CCC salons opened anew.

“The newly opened salon is in a great location, from now on customers can see us from two sides of the passage on level -1. We expect that both the new location and the modern design, combined with the 246 m2 larger, spacious and well-lit interior, will encourage people to shop and follow the latest trends of the season,” says Barbara Tetlak-Tracz, Regional Sales Manager at CCC.

By the end of the year, a Nike shop is also to open on a 218 sqm larger space, as well as a Martes Sport shop, which in turn will gain as much as 524 sqm.

The relocations are also accompanied by debuts in the list of Galeria Katowicka’s tenants. They have been joined by, among others, the brand Intimissimi Uomo, which belongs to the Italian brand group Calzedonia Group and supplements the offer with underwear for men. The cult brand Columbia, in turn, has expanded Katowicka’s outdoor clothing offer. From this summer, the tenant portfolio also includes the new intimate florist La Flor with a wide selection of cut and potted flowers, including exotic and unique ones. Katowicka’s gastronomic offer has been enriched by Pink Sushi, a restaurant with an attraction in the form of sushi served on plates which travel along the tables on a conveyor belt, and the customer chooses what he or she fancies.

In December, a Carrefour supermarket will open in Katowicka in place of Stokrotka, which fits perfectly with the Gallery’s leasing strategy. The chain announces that it will be a shop with a state-of-the-art retail concept, offering an assortment of different price shelves, attractive loyalty programmes, friendly navigation and innovative shopping solutions.
