GTC’s Galeria Północna, which came on-line last year, has received a Gold LEED certificate. One of the shopping center’s major advantages is its roof garden which serves as a recreational area with a spacious playground. It reduces the property’s energy consumption and acts as a carbon dioxide absorbent. The project uses equipment with a high energy efficiency grade. Galeria Północna also has several systems in place that has helped reduce its water consumption by 45 percent, including efficient use of rainwater to irrigate plants.
