The Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology (MRPiT) is working on legal regulations regarding support for entrepreneurs whose activities are not covered by PKD codes covered by support and who have recorded a significant decrease in turnover as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labor and Technology Jarosław Gowin.
The ministry asked the Ministry of Finance to estimate the budgetary consequences of this solution.
“There is no decision yet. Firstly, we are preparing appropriate legal regulations in the ministry, and secondly, we asked the Ministry of Finance to calculate the costs of such solutions, which would not involve PKD codes, but turnover drops,” Gowin said during a press conference.
It includes establishing whether it is possible and with what instruments to reliably identify a group of companies that would experience such large drops.
“And this consideration would have to be done in an automated – fast manner, so that this possible aid would reach these companies in time before they collapse. […] We are waiting for the response of the Ministry of Finance as regards the calculation of potential budgetary resources” – he added.
For inclusion in the trade shield 6.0. and the financial shield 2.0 of companies that do not have PKD codes covered by the aid in the scope of their activities, but whose turnover during the pandemic is 70% or more appealed by the Ombudsman for Small and Medium Enterprises, Adam Abramowicz. During the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Gowin, entrepreneurs also presented a petition on this matter.
