BSB Fashion Romania, a subsidiary of Greek clothes retailer BSB, will open its 14th Romanian store in early September, in its own building on Magheru Boulevard in Bucharest. It bought the building in 2006 from a private individual, but didn’t begin modernization work on the structure until April 2012, said Carabaş George, financial director of BSB Fashion Romania. He added that in the first phase the new unit will have 200 sqm, while the entire store will have around 600 sqm of retail space on three levels.
BSB Fashion currently operates 13 stores in Romania, with the most recent opening taking place this year in AFI Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest and Constanta City Park. BSB achieved turnover of around €2m in the first six months of 2012, a figure Carabaş estimates will reach €4.5m by year’s end.
