GreenWay obtained EUR 85 million for further development from international investment funds specializing in infrastructure projects: Helios Energy Investment and Generation Capital, the company said. The current shareholders of the company also took part in the investment round: janom a.s. and Neulogy Ventures. The company will spend the acquired capital on expanding the charging station network and developing its technological potential.
Today, Helios Energy Investments and Generation Capital have finalized an agreement with GreenWay Holding, under which they will provide GreenWay with over EUR 85 million to accelerate the company’s development. The current shareholders, Janom as and Neulogy Ventures, have also joined this round of financing. It is the largest known investment in the electromobility sector in this region of Europe, and at the same time giving credence to the high development potential of electromobility in the region and the strong position of GreenWay on the market, the company announced.
Co-founder and president of GreenWay Holding Peter Badik announced that a significant part of the acquired capital will be allocated to the further expansion of the company and the charging station network. The company will also focus on improving technological opportunities which are now at the center of its strategy alongside the physical construction of infrastructure.
“Acquiring new investors will allow us to significantly accelerate the process of expanding the public charging infrastructure. We also intend to deepen cooperation with business and become a partner of first choice for companies that intend to switch to electromobility and need comprehensive support to successfully carry out this transformation,” said the president of GreenWay Polska Rafał Czyżewski.
The GreenWay network currently consists of 488 charging stations offering mainly fast charging of electric cars. The company’s services are currently used by nearly 30,000 registered customers. GreenWay is also an operator of charging infrastructure belonging to leading brands such as IKEA, Żabka, InPost, Mercedes, Kia and many others, according to the material.
GreenWay is a service provider in the field of electromobility (EMP or eMSP), directly supporting drivers of electric vehicles and providing charging services. The Company’s customers can charge their vehicle batteries at GreenWay network stations and at over 10,000 stations across the EU, which are part of the company’s network under roaming agreements. GreenWay is also an operator of charging points (CPO), running its own network of generally accessible charging stations for drivers of electric vehicles. GreenWay currently has 488 charging stations with 1,400 sockets, and the average availability of chargers is 98.5%.
