In a €90m deal, GTC Group acquired Dorado 1, which owns the Mall of Sofia in Bulgaria. The seller was Luxembourg-registered EEE 5, part of Europa Capital. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year. A consortium between OTP and its Bulgarian unit DSK Bank will finance 65 percent of the deal. Located in the capital’s central business district, the Mall of Sofia offers 23,700 sqm of retail, 10,300 sqm of office and more than 600 underground parking spots. The retail space is currently 98 percent leased to brands like Terranova, Adidas, Benetton, H&M, CCC, Calliope and Cinema City. GTC sold two shopping centers in Bulgaria in 2017 for €62m.
