The Swedish clothing retailer H&M entered Romania’s retail market in March 2011 and by year’s end, will have established a network of 22 stores, six more than it now has. These will be opened in in Bucharest and in the regional cities beginning in the fall in are Sibiu, Cluj and Ploiesti cities said Ewa Jarzemska, H&M’s communications representative.
The 11 stores H&M opened in its first 12 months of operations was the highest figure for any country in the world, Jarzemska added. By year’s end, the network of stores could produce up to €90m in ales, according to ZF estimates, compared with €37m last year.
