Heineken invests €2.7m in solar power plant at Croatian brewery

31 May 2018

Heineken Croatia opened a solar power plant at its brewery in Karlovac, central Croatia. The company invested €2.7m in this plant as well as a green warehouse with 1,380 solar panels on the roof. The plant in Karlovac will produce about 395,000 kWh per year, reducing costs and the amount of energy taken from the public network for brewing purposes. The solar panels will also reduce the company’s annual CO2 emissions. Relatio ES Adria installed the solar panels, which were made by Luxor Solar GmbH. The solar power plant covers 4,430 sqm.
