Helios, part of Agora Group, is opening two new cinemas in Poland. The cinema chain signed leases at the Gondola shopping center in Legionowo and the Tkalnia shopping and entertainment center in Pabianice. The two new cinemas will be operating on 2,500 sqm of space. Colliers International advised the tenant in both transactions. “Plans of opening Helios cinemas in such cities as Legionowo and Pabianice infers that there’s a growing interest in entertainment in smaller towns. Inhabitants expect the same offer as the one available in big cities. This is the effect of changing lifestyle and expectations of Poles. Apart from shopping, they now want to some interesting time in a shopping center,” said Anna Radecka, associate director of the retail agency at Colliers International. “A joint study by Colliers and IQS shows that cinema is the most popular form of entertainment among customers of shopping centers in Poland. Helios cinemas will perfectly supplement the offer in the new locations.”
