HGHI expanding LIO shopping center in Berlin

16 June 2014

The company Harald G. Huth’s High Gain House Investments (HGHI) plans to develop the LIO shopping center located in Lankwitzer Strasse in the Lichterfelde District of Berlin. HGHI says the shopping mall is to be extended from 9,000 sqm to more than 13,000 sqm of retail space by the end of 2014 and the number of stores raised to 24.

Additionally, during the expansion the whole LIO shopping center will be renovated. Woolworth and Reno will join existing stores from C&A, Aldi and Kaiser’s. HGHI has not revealed the center’s current owner. It’s known that the real estate fund Arab Investments bought the center in 2007, but HGHI claims that company no longer owns the property.
