Online retailers and delivery services operating in the Czech Republic are expecting a record-breaking holiday season. “Not only will people spend more thanks to a thriving economy, but the high demand will also have an effect on delivery dates,” says Marie Havlíčková, the director of Slevomat, the Czech service e-retailer. Petr Chvátal, the general manager of PPL, said the parcel delivery company is expecting a 20- to 25-percent increase in demand and is planning to hire an additional 200 couriers for the holiday season. The Czech Postal Service is also bossting its mail carrier team by 3,000, according to news reports.
