Hiting, a solar panel producer from Banja Luka, began construction of a new production plant in September 2017. The €1.1m investment is begin carried out within the former Univerzal factory in the town. Hiting expects to be able to begin construction of self-sustaining portable solar units before the end of this year. The building will have 1,300 sqm of production and storage space and a further 400 sqm for offices. The factory is located on a 3,000 sqm plot next to the railway. Hiting plans to employ 10 people. The company was established 28 years ago and has acted as an importer of LG Electronics goods for the past 5 years for Bosnia and Herzegovina
