Hornbach will open a 12,000 sqm store in Sibiu this fall. This will be the smallest store in the Hornbach Romania network. The company’s other five locations exceed 20,000 sqm each. The Sibiu store represents an investment of €9m, which includes the purchase of the space from the DIY retailer OBI.
“The peculiarity of this store is the repository of heavy material that covers an area of about 1,700 sqm,” said Horia Mugurel Rusu, general manager Hornbach Romania.
Hornbach entered the Romanian market in 2005. It currently operates three stores in Bucharest, one in Brasov and one in Timisoara.
