IRI Investments, part of the Ikea group, bought 12,800 ha of forest in Iasi and Neamt counties in Romania’s Moldova region. The transaction value was not disclosed. The company currently owns approximately 46,700 ha in the region.
“With the new investment, IRI Investments SRL reaffirms its long-standing commitment and promise to Romania since its entry: to be an administrator in charge of forests,” the company said in a statement.
