Construction has kicked off on IKEA’s 10th Polish store, with this one being placed in the city of Lublin. The move marks the chain’s debut in the country’s eastern retail market and will be the second largest IKEA in Poland. It’s part of an new retail center investment that’s being developed in Lublin. While the IKEA store is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2017, the retail rest of the center is to be delivered by the end of 2017. The store will employ 220 people and IKEA has already started the recruitment process. IKEA’s sales in Poland for 2016 hit PLN 3.22bn in September, marking a 21.6 percent increase year-on-year.
