The local daily newspaper in Hradec Kralove writes that Ikea has finally come to the city, but not the way most had expected. Rather than opening a new store in the town, the Swedish home furnishings company has opened a pick-up point at the Albert hypermarket. Customers can order goods from the store and pick the time that’s convenient to pick them up at. For now, the new pick-up point will be open just three days per week. Ikea announced earlier this year that it would be opening pick-up points around the country, with others planned for Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Ústí nad Labem, Liberec and Zlín. It operates four stores in the Czech Republic, with two in Prague and one each in Brno and Ostrava.
