Ikea’s revenues on the Czech market jumped 4.6 percent to CZK 7.7bn in its 2013/2014 financial year. Customer numbers also increased by 1 percent to 5.5 million and average spending was up 4 percent to CZK 1,313. The increase in revenues was three times higher than what management was expecting, Marek Feltl, Ikea’s director for the Czech Republic, told ČTK. Feltl said there’s been a revival on the home furniture market. The Swedish furniture retailer plans to increase its market share and improve its customer service, he added.
