Ikea is opening a 294,000 sq ft center near the intersection of Gate Parkway and I-295 in Jacksonville in fall of 2017. The complex will be located on a 25 acre lot with 1,200 parking spaces and around 250 employees. This will be Ikea’s fifth store in Florida with two locations in Miami and one each in Orlando and Tampa. In looking for new locations, Ikea considers the number of consumers that live within a 40- to 60-mile radius.
