Ikea is planning to open its third store on the Hungarian market next spring in Budapest’s Soroksár district. The new store, a HUF 16.8 billion investment, will cover 34,000 sqm. The Swedish retailer has been active in Hungary for 26 years with other Budapest locations in Budaörs and at Örs vezér square. The company turnover increased by 5 percent to €31.9bn in the last fiscal year, while net profit also increased by 5.6 percent to €3.5bn.
