As International Trade Union Confederation claims that as many as 50 international corporations are suspected of relying on large numbers of so called ‘hidden workers’, who do not appear in the corporation’s official figures. According to reports from the ITUC, 1.6 million employees should be added to the 132,000 official workers at H&M, while it claims that Nike secretly employs 2.5 million. In a survey carried out by the ITUC in France, Germany, the UK and the US market, 55 percent of interviewees believe that that major corporations cannot be trusted.
