CIJ has learned that Invesco Real Estate has completed the deal to acquire the land for Amazon’s next distribution center to be built near Szczecin. Worth nearly €18m, the transaction is tied to a 15-year lease agreement for Amazon with Panattoni Europe, which would develop the 155,000 sqm facility, and that the deal reflects a yield of around 6.5 percent.
Amazon confirmed plans to develop its third Polish warehouse last month, having selected Panattoni Europe to deliver the center in the town of Kołbaskowo, near Szczecin. The investment will add 1,000 new jobs to the local market and is scheduled for completion in September, 2017.
