Zareba Company Holdings Limited, owned by the businessman Ion Tiriac, has sold its 15 percent stake in Metro Cash & Carry Romania to the German group Metro. The deal means that Metro is now the sole owner of the business, according to Mediafax. The transaction value was not disclosed.
Metro Cash & Carry Romania currently operates 32 stores across the country. Metro’s Romanian portfolio includes four Real hypermarkets a network of “La doi pasi” stores that are run as franchises.
