Jimmy Choo IPO price set at 140p

Having decided to take the company public in London, the shoe maker Jimmy Choo has set the floatation price for a 25 percent stake in the company at 140p. The price means the firm is valued at GBP 545.6m. Some see the move as a gamble as the company has around GBP 100m in debt, most of which was rung up opening up new shops around the world. Pierre Denis, the chief executive of the shoe brand, said: “Today’s announcement marks an important milestone for Jimmy Choo and recognizes not only the appeal of our high-quality products, but also confidence in our ability to outperform the luxury shoe market.”
