The Bulgarian unit of Danish bedding and furniture retailer JYSK will invest EUR 12 million in the expansion of its distribution centre near Sofia as it prepares to open up to ten new stores this year and at least five stores every year.
The company will build a new 14,170 sqm logistics project which will have 33 loading ramps. After the expansion, which is expected to be completed at the end of this year, the JYSK Distribution Bozhurishte centre will have a total built up area of 106,000 sqm and a capacity of 148 ramps and 122,416 pallets. The company inaugurated the EUR 100 million distribution centre in 2019.
JYSK entered the Bulgarian market in 2005 and it operates 42 stores in the country.
