Kaolin, the Bulgarian subsidiary of the German company Quarzwerke GmbH, is planning to open a production plant in Dulovo, northeastern Bulgaria. Investment costs are estimated at €30m, with construction scheduled to start in 2019. Completion is set for 2021. The plant will produce kaolin and silica sand for the ceramics and glass industries. Kaolin also produces feldspar and limestone.
