Kik Textilien, one of the 10 largest retailers in Germany, opened its first Romanian store at Mega Mall in Bucharest. The retailer leased a 170 sqm unit at the shopping center. Kik Textilien is the exclusive distributor of the New Era, O’Neill, Lotto, Confront, Feewear and Lacoste footwear brands. The company operates about 3,400 stores in Europe, of which 2,600 units are located in Germany. The retailer is hoping to expand its network to 5,000 stores across Europe.
