Kino Polska recorded PLN 12.98 million of consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company in Q2 2021 against PLN 5.15 million of profit a year earlier, the company said in a report.
The operating profit amounted to PLN 15.87 million versus PLN 6.56 million profit a year earlier.
Consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 61.57 million in Q2 2021 compared to PLN 48.74 million a year earlier.
In the first half of In 2021, the company had PLN 19.34 million of consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company compared to PLN 9.35 million of profit a year earlier, with sales revenues of PLN 118.96 million compared to PLN 98.7 million a year earlier .
The increase in the group’s results in the first half of 2021 is the result of growing revenues in all major segments of the company’s operations. The highest nominal increase in revenue y / y was recorded in the FilmBox movie channels and thematic channels segment, and amounted to + PLN 8.1 million (+15, 5% y / y) and the Stopklatka segment – + PLN 6.1 million (+ 45.3% y / y). The Channels segment of the Kino Polska brand also showed high growth dynamics – PLN +3.4 million (+ 23.4% y / y) and Zoom TV, where revenues increased by 19.6% y / y, to PLN 1.5 million. The licensing rights sales segment also had better results – PLN 1.9 million (+ 20.7% y / y) r) , according to the announcement.
Revenues in international markets achieved a growth dynamics of 12.8%, and in the country – revenues were higher by 24.8% y / y.
Advertising sales totaled PLN 45.5 million, ie 42.9% more than in the previous year, it was also announced.
The group’s revenues from broadcasting grew by over 9% annually and amounted to PLN 61.1 million, which was largely due to the better sales results of the FilmBox movie channels segment and thematic channels.
