The LCP Group – the owner of Galeria EMKA in Koszalin, is just starting the expansion of the project with a modern Retail Park. It will complement the existing gallery, and will significantly expand the currently available wide offer with life-style functions.
Galeria EMKA is the first shopping center in Koszalin, with a great location and a diverse range of shops and services. In 2017, Galeria Emka was thoroughly modernized and modernized by its owner, the LCP group. The center has an excellent tenant offer tailored to the needs of 50,000 people living in the immediate vicinity of the gallery, as well as seaside tourists who visit the gallery annually during the holiday season.
In June 2021, the LCP Management Board decided to start expanding the Gallery. The next phase involves the construction of a 2-story retail park building with an area of almost 10,000 sq m. New tenants will supplement the gallery’s offer with entertainment and leisure functions, of which over 2,000 sqm will occupy a modern fitness club Just Gym, and another 2,200 sqm Helios cinema with several projection rooms, including two premium class. In addition to the tenants mentioned above, the retail park will offer shops and services from a wide range of leading chain brands present on the Polish market. An example is Sinsay, which will occupy an area of over 1,200 sqm in the new phase. and will therefore be the largest brand store in the region.
Currently, more than 65% of the center’s area is already leased, and in the near future we expect further contracts to be signed with leading brands on the market. Most importantly, the extension project has a valid building permit, and LCP completes the tender for the General Contractor for the entire extension.
“We used the lockdown period very well to prepare and optimize the project, which will allow us to complete and commission it in the second half of 2022. We are preparing further, tailored to the needs of the market investments throughout Poland, about which we will soon be able to tell more,” said Jarosław Kotyna, Development Director from LCP.
After the expansion, the Galeria Emka complex will offer over 70 stores, including new large-format stores that will be available in the new retail park.
Together with 800 sqm of office space, a multiplex, a food court and a fitness salon Galeria EMKA with an added retail park will offer over 25,000 sqm GLA of commercial and service space available to Koszalin residents and tourists. Thus, EMKA and the retail park will constitute a leading, multi-functional and timeless project of the latest generation, combining the functions of meeting everyday needs and weekend entertainment in the region.
“We are entering the active phase of project development, which will allow us not only to expand and supplement the excellent offer of the existing gallery, but also to attract new customers to EMKA by offering modern brands and services,” emphasizes Justyna Małysko, Project Leasing Manager at LCP Properties Poland.
The expansion is scheduled to open in the second half of 2022.
