A 273-acre tract of land just south of Tampa has been acquired for $17.5 million by Miami-based Lennar Corp. Located in southern Hillsborough County next to Interstate 75, the development site is near a 1 million sqf fulfillment center in Ruskin leased by the online retailer Amazon. The seller, Cypress Creek Land Corp., bought the land in 1994 from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp and sold it for just over $64,100 per acre. The buyer plans to build 850 homes on the plot.
