The Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District has offered Miami-based Lennar Corp. $24 million for the firm’s closed Ocean Breeze Golf Club property. Located at 5801 Northwest 2 Avenue in Boca Raton, the 200 acre property has been shuttered since last July. Lennar had offered to transfer ownership of Ocean Breeze to the city together with a cash payment to acquire the 194-acre Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course. If the purchase is approved by the city council, the district and members of the council would meet on Feb. 28 to discuss ways to finance the acquisition.
