Lidl expands Bulgarian network

Lidl opened a new store in Kazanlak, increasing its Bulgarian network to 80 locations.

The German supermarket chain entered the Bulgarian market in November 2010, opening 14 stores in 11 cities, including Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora, Pazardzhik, Sliven, Kurdzhali, Petrich, Montana, Lovech and Gabrovo, after acquiring the Tengelmann retail network in Bulgaria and Romania.
