Lidl prepares to open 20 stores in Serbia this year

Lidl is planning to open up to 20 locations across Serbia this year and is looking to hire 1,000 people to staff its stores, according to the server balkaneu.com. Around 300 of those positions are in Belgrade, while the German discounter’s other stores will be manned by 40 employees each. In addition to the capital, Lidl’s Serbian network includes stores in Bor, Indjija, Leskovac, Nis, Novi Sad, Jagodina, Kikinda, Kragujevac, Krusevac, Pancevo, Smederevo, Sombor, Subotica, Sabac, Uzice, Vrsac and Zrenjanin.
