Following the completion of its €29m Kaunas logistics center, German discounter Lidl is set to open its first supermarkets in Lithuania in July. The retailer’s Lithuanian subsidiary, Lidl Lietuva, said it set to open more than 10 locations. A list of stores and the dates of their opening have not been disclosed yet. Lidl reportedly wants to open a network of approximately 30 stores across Lithuania and is said to be eyeing a number of property acquisitions. Its logistics center is set to open in April.
