Lidl is due to open its smallest ever store in the Czech Republic in the city of Brno. The 606 square meter store will open on Namesti Svobody square in the Rozkvet shopping center this November. It will be Lidl’s 14th store in Brno and its 263rd in the Czech Republic and will have entrances both from the square and from Panska Street. Located on the second floor, its layout will be atypical for the brand, but it will be equipped with the standard bakery unit, coffee machines and free Wifi. Meanwhile, Lidl is waiting to find out if it can open another store in the town of Usti nad Labem. Residents there will be deciding whether to allow plans by the Sallerova construction company to develop a shopping center in the Strekova neighborhood. Lidl is one of the tenants of the planned project.
