Lidl will tear down its supermarket in the Petržalka district in Bratislava and build a new one in its place as part of a modernization program for its stores. The new building will have two levels, with office space on the upper level. The total retail space will extend from current 1,286 sqm to 1,702 sqm. Hnonline.sk writes that start of construction has not been set yet, as Lidl has to secure planning first. The retail chain plans to invest an estimated €2.4m into the project. Lidl plans to give a similar „facelift“ to its supermarket in Púchov and add bakeries to outlets in Gagarinova and Galvaniho streets in Bratislava.
