The old ground of Feira Popular (the Popular Fair of Lisbon) will be used for nine months as a shipyard in the rehabilitation works of the central axis of the city between Picoas and Saldanha along Fontes Pereira de Melo Avenue. The Lisbon City Council has been trying to sell the land, but was unsuccessful offering it for €135.7. There have been no interested investors in the real estate, which has been abandoned since 2003 when the fair was closed.
