Louis Vuitton leads Prague luxury

8 June 2018

Louis Vuitton’s store on Pařížská street in downtown Prague is the market leader, according to a report by Deloitte that analyzed the results of global luxury brands. Denik.cz quotes the consultancy’s findings that the store produced sales of CZK 782m for the 2016 fiscal year thanks to heavy trade from tourists and wealthy local residents. The luxury boutique with the fastest rise in sales for the same period were Moncler, Cartier and Rimowa, which Deloitte notes are all located on the same side (northeast) of the street where businesses tend to fare better. Taken globally, the top 100 luxury goods companies reported annual revenues of a combined USD 217bn, 1 percent more than in fiscal year 2015.
