Serbia’s inflation rate in March came in as expected by the country’s National Bank at 1.3 percent. The Serbian Statistical Office reported that consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent during March, which it attributed to the decline in prices for petroleum products as well as of certain foodstuffs. The country’s core inflation rate remained stable at 1.6 percent year-on-year according to the National Bank of Serbia. The bank predicts that it does not anticipate prices rising significantly in the coming months.
