Marks & Spencer is exiting Poland, the company has announced, adding that the process of closing its 11 Polish stores is set to start soon. The company said that after examining 446 stores around the world, it had decided to close 53 of them, including those located China, France, Estonia, Hungary, Litva, Slovakia, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. Last year, Marks & Spencer posted a loss of GBP 45m on ten of its markets. The company explains the poor results on a variety of factors including the fragmentation of its network.
