Marks & Spencer expanding grocery sales in the Czech Republic

14 November 2012

Marks & Spencer will soon start selling fresh groceries at two of its stores in Prague. The British retailer will expand its offerings by some 400 items, including cheese, salami, fruits, veggies and flowers. The new products, imported to the Czech Republic from the UK, will be available at the company’s flagship on Wenceslas square and at the Chodov shopping center. Marks & Spencer director Jonathan Smith told the daily Hospodářské noviny that the fresh goods “will be delivered to the Czech Republic in the most nature friendly and also the cheapest way – via motorway.“
The Czech Republic is the third market Marks & Spencer is offering fresh groceries, following Great Britain and Ireland.
