McDonald’s is piloting a new order-and-payment method. Starting today, customers visiting the McDonald’s at the Jižní spojka transport artery in Prague will be able to order their meals using tablets inside the restaurant and then collect their meal at the counter or pay with a credit card at a self-service kiosk. The new concept will allow the fast-food operator to expand meal offers and reduce the lines at the counters. The system has already been implemented at a few restaurants in Prague.
