MediaMarkt is set to open two new stores on June 27th in Rumia and Leszno, Poland. This expansion marks the introduction of a new store format, Xpress, for the first time in the country—a format already recognized and valued across Europe. With ten stores refreshed earlier this year and more openings and renovations on the horizon, MediaMarkt continues to enhance its footprint in Poland. Additionally, the brand has launched a new online shopping platform and mobile app, promising a more seamless shopping experience for customers.
The new MediaMarkt store in Galeria Rumia spans 675 square meters, while the one in Galeria Starówka, Leszno, offers a comfortable shopping space of 520 square meters, both dedicated entirely to cutting-edge technologies. These additions will be the 81st and 82nd MediaMarkt stores in Poland, strategically located in modern shopping malls at the heart of their respective cities.
“We are thrilled that MediaMarkt has chosen to join Galeria Rumia as tenants and introduce their innovative Xpress store format for the first time in Poland. This is a significant honor for us,” says Jacek Ostwald of PKB Inwest Budowa 5, the company managing Galeria Rumia. “We believe this decision underscores not only the gallery’s prime location and market position but also our commitment to prioritizing the shopping experience of our customers.”
MediaMarkt has been a fixture in Poland for 26 years, offering a wide array of consumer electronics, household appliances, gaming consoles, computer accessories, and software. Known for competitive pricing, extensive product variety, and excellent service, MediaMarkt operates numerous brick-and-mortar stores across many cities, providing customers the opportunity to inspect products firsthand. The brand also features an online store, facilitating convenient home delivery or in-store pickup. For loyal customers, MediaMarkt offers the myMediaMarkt loyalty program, allowing points accumulation for discounts and exclusive offers.
“I am delighted with the continued expansion of MediaMarkt stores in Poland,” says Sebastian Paciorek, Expansion Manager at MediaMarkt Polska. “This represents an important milestone for us, enabling us to be closer to our customers and provide them with the latest technology and superior service. Each new store opening is not only about business growth but also about strengthening our bonds with local communities. We aim for our stores to be not just retail outlets but hubs where customers receive expert advice and support. We are proud to open our doors to residents of Rumia and Leszno, offering them a comprehensive range of products to enhance their daily lives.”
In addition to the two new openings, MediaMarkt continues its modernization efforts across its existing 80 stores. “We have recently refurbished and modernized several of our stores, adapting product assortments and layouts to better meet customer preferences,” explains Marcin Sibiński, Director of Store Network Development at MediaMarkt Polska. “This ongoing strategy is yielding positive results, allowing us to further our mission of becoming an Experience Champion.”
The grand openings of the new MediaMarkt stores in Rumia and Leszno will feature a host of attractions for customers, including SuperRabates of up to -75% and specially curated event zones catering to all ages. It promises to be an exciting day for residents of both towns as they explore the latest offerings from MediaMarkt.
