Mega Image plans to withdraw from the Bulgarian market. The Belgian retailer Delhaize, which owns the Mega Image supermarket chain as well as Shop & Go convenience stores, decided to focus on more profitable countries like Romania, Belgium and the US. The retailer expects to finalize the sale of its Bulgarian network by the end of the year. Mega Image officials added that they plan to pull out of Montenegro and Albania as well. The company posted a profit of €770m, beating its target of €755m.
