Metro Properties announced plans to expand the M1 mall chain in Poland. “Over the past years, we have already expanded the malls in Czeladź, Zabrze and Kraków,” said Renata Kinde-Czyż, head of Metro Properties in Poland, adding that expansion plans for the malls in Marki, Poznań and Częstochowa are now in the the works. According to Kinde-Czyż, the economic slowdown will not hinder the plans. “The situation is changing rapidly and you have to be prepared for that. Shopping centers should be open to different variants,” she said. The M1 mall chain is owned by Apollo Rida.
