In a sign that the Wynwood district in Miami prices have risen to new heights, the Miami Rescue Mission has decided to offload assets. Located on Northwest 1st Avenue, the non-profit wants to sell about 80,000 square feet of land with 43,000 square feet of offices and warehousing. Wynwood has seen an increase of investments as the area has attracted more retail, art galleries and residential projects. President Rev. Ron Brummitt said the proceeds from the sale will help it expand its services throughout out Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The asking price is $22 million and represents about a third of the Mission’s real estate holdings which stated in 1922.
