At the end of January, Michelin group purchased a 20 ha plot of land for €1.6m in the town of Zalau, intending to expand capacity at the plant it operates there. In Romania, Michelin’s annual turnover exceeds €500m.
This is the first new investment announced by the French tire manufacturer in Romania since revealing last April that it would be investenting €170m in a new Serbian facility.
